Apple Picking!

Fall is really here and we want to make the most of any nice days we have left! The weather today was great, so we went out to the apple farm to pick some apples. Our family photo this year is quite a bit different from last year...





It was a fun afternoon! Sam had a great time helping us pick apples, riding on Daddy's shoulders, and feeding the goats:

First Day of School

Wednesday was a big day for Sam--he officially had his first day of school! One day a week Sam and I go to "Tiny Tots" class at the Early Childhood Family Education center. The ECFE is a great program through our school district that promotes early education for kids from birth to kindergarten age. Right now Sam's class is mostly about socialization (for both of us!), but as he gets older the classes will help get him ready for kindergarten. Sam had a great time playing with all the other babies!

Undersea Creatures

I can tell that Sam is awake in the morning or after his nap because he turns on the Undersea Creatures thing in his crib. He has figured out how to push the button to turn it on and I can hear the music over the baby monitor. It's getting a lot of use--so much so that the batteries are dying. Sam wasn't too happy this morning when the music stopped after about 30 seconds. Don't worry Sam, Mom replaced the batteries!

Day at the Zoo

We had some cool weather this weekend and we thought it would be a great day to take Sam to the zoo. Not too hot, so we could walk around comfortably and the animals were pretty active. Well, most of them!

Cruising around the coffee table...

Sam could easily (and quickly) crawl over to get his bear, but he likes to "cruise" around the coffee table:
